Oui Oui

So I don't usually like doing the classic french maincure, so I trolled tumblr for a bit and put my own twist on it

I used a random nude colour from some cheap set, Rimmel 60 sec Sunrise and Barry M Yellow as well as my trust ebay pen
I actually like how sophisticated they looked, they'd be great for work or school and you can do all kinds of designs.

Orange and turquoise

So these are my current nails, Barry M orange and China glaze Turned up Turquoise (neon)

Words cannot describe how much I love this combo! The contrast between colours is great, I dunno about you guys but I love me a bit of clashing ;P

Rainbowwww

 

It's been a while since I posted so I thought i'd make sure it was something different, rainbowwwww with leopard print of course.
The rainbow stripes were my left hand and the plain was the right, this took soo sooo long to do, I decided not to use the sponging technique and just sort of painted a line, waited for it to dry painted another, etc.
This is the first time a stranger complimented my nails! at the till in boots :D 
All polishes are Barry M, and the print with my trusty ebay nail pen

China Glaze!

So I found out my local Sally's is stocking China glaze, OPI and some other brand I've never heard of,
They have an offer on China glaze, buy one get one half price so I spent about half an hour choosing two, here's what I got.

 

Frostbite and Turned up turquoise (neon) 

I definetly need to get the rest of the neons, It was so hard to choose between Coconut kiss and a neon pink i can't remember the name of.
Also anyone else seeing Models Own Pro and Orly being stocked at boots? 
Love love love these polishes, definetly buying some more!

Cracken

These were my 'Interveiw' nails, for an interveiw at Staffordshire university, to study games design btw,  i used ELF 'Golden Goddess' and Barry M 'Silver Cascade'

It was a pain in the arse to remove, but I got good coverage in 2 coats with Barry M, Sadly ELF  is more sheer so was like 4 coats, I might try it over a gold polish instead.

For this weeks nails, I've gone with ELF Purple dream and Barry M Nail effects, Not too sure about Nail effects, I find it quite hit and miss, I was planning to do an accent finger  but I liked how it came out on my ring finger so did the whole hand.

I might be away for a bit soon, I have my Final major project to focus on deadlines a comin'

I used Models Own black magic and Ebay nail art pens, Apologies for the mess I was a bit sloppy with the black lol
Been on tumblr for nail inspiration, gotta try sponging and get a hold of some OPI and China Glaze from Sallys ;D

Panda-monium

Just a quick and kinda late one, Pandas! It was a toss up between pandas and owls last night and I decided pandas to make a change :P

really simple but i still managed to forget that pandas have black ears not white, and had to go over it lol

Collection

So here's a random post showing my growing collection;

This was all contained in a Celebrations tub, but i couldnt get the lid on anymore haha
So now it's all in a giant Topshop shoebox I've got about 58 or so now
(The polishes with the stars on are anicent Claires accessories ones) 

This is my mainicure kit I got for christmas, I'm pretty sure it's from boots, I love how cute it is and, OWLS :D

So you can also add the 24 nail art pens I bought like yesterday, not had any problems with brushes in the bottle or anything thus far, and was a speedy speedy delivery :) Some do have that weird colour fade but it doesn't seem to affect the actual colour so *shrug*

Elfin

So thats a lot of green, strange how I'm not that huge a fan of green yet its the only colour i have enough shades of to do a graident thing like this.

It's taken a while but I've got the Barry M crackle polish. Tbh, I'm not a huge fan of crackle, shatter whatevs, so when I heard about the MO crackle polishes coming out it was like meh..
It is an amazing thing to watch though, thr crackle cracking, and so so sooooo simple.

Some Origins Of Fire

So I totally forgot about posting last week X[ so here's two to make up for it!

So as everyone's doing leopard I sometimes like to indulge myself with some zebra/tiger stripes :)
This is one coat of Stargazer 106 and one coat of Ciaté in Dangerous Affair and eyeliner stripes.
I think the Stargazer gave this a really nice kinda pearly sheen rather than being like, pinky red and flat.

George (Asda) Princess pink and Barry M 298, on the tips. I quite like gold tips also I've been wearing this around a week now with No topcoat and only just starting to chip, so it's pretty hard wearing :)

I used Rimmel 809, Blue Me Away, With 17 Nail Xtras as a topcoat. 

The random gems are from the poundstore, there's literally nothing they don't sell! 

This is a pretty messy one I must admit, I was going for a brown leopard print before, but it just wasn't working -.-

Green Envy

So yesterday I was scouring Boots when I came across the sale shelf/bin, I've gotta be honest, never seen so many lipsticks and glosses in my life, all reduced to crazzzzy prices. I nearly bought a red lippy but it didn't have a sticker :( and it being lunch hour I didn't wanna risk being late.
I did however snap up this polish!
Models Own - Evergreen, I've teamed it with  Revlon's Matte Emerald City, for a more interesting look.

These photos don't show it well, but Evergreen is a goregous shimmer green, and Emerald City is super smooth and has a slight shimmer to it as well. 

I was really impressed with Emerald City as I got even coverage in one coat! 

Evergreen was only 2 coats, I thought I might have to do three as it comes out quite thin but it definitely builds up well!

However I did get a bit of bubbling which I'm pretty sure is my fault for being impaitent with my nails :P

Holographic!

So my lovely boyfriend bought me a bunch of nail varnishes for valentines day, Inc Eyeko vamp polish!
Here's one of the polishes in action,

GOSH Holographic

This is a pretty hard polish to photograph, but basically, you know the disney logos on dvds are all sparkly? yes? , No? either way it looks quite like that :)
I did find when i was applying it that it is quite hard to get even, i've never used GOSH products before so I don't  know if this is something that runs through or if it's just holographic.
I also now have 'Nero' which is basically black so i guess i'll find out!
